Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Compliance & Risk Management Officer to join our fast growing Fintech company. In this dual role, you will be responsible for overseeing Plinqit’s compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, as well as identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact our product, operations and reputation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both compliance and risk management within the Banking, Fintech and/or financial services industry.

What you’ll do…

  • Develop, implement, and manage compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure the company’s adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and proactively adjust compliance strategies and activities as needed.
  • Conduct regular compliance assessments, audits, and reviews to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide training to team members on compliance matters, promoting a culture of ethical behavior and regulatory awareness. Including but not limited to BSA/AML, Reg E, OFAC, and CFPB.
  • Prepare and submit required compliance reports to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Collaborate with legal and other departments to address compliance-related legal issues and regulatory inquiries.
Risk Managmentnships
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks to Plinqit’s operations, reputation, and financial stability.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework that encompasses risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management considerations into business processes, products, and services.
  • Monitor key risk indicators and provide regular reports to the executive leadership team on the status of identified risks and mitigation efforts.
  • Stay informed about emerging industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to risk management.
    Onboard new clients and lead product implementations
    You will do this using your…
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Law, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant professional certification such as Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager, and/or Certified Risk Professional is a plus.
    • 5+ years of combined experience in compliance and risk management roles within the banking, or financial services industry.
    • Strong understanding of Banking regulation, Bank deposit products, Fintech products, services, and technology, and their associated compliance and risk considerations.
    • Thorough knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and risk management methodologies.
    • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and assess potential compliance and risk issues.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex compliance and risk concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
    • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in compliance reporting, documentation, and risk assessments.
    • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders to implement effective compliance and risk management strategies.
    • Experience with compliance software, risk assessment tools, and data analysis is a plus.
    • Strong ethical values and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
