Enhancements Coming for Banker Jr!

by | Jul 11, 2016 | Education, Uncategorized

We here at HT Mobile Apps are very passionate about financial literacy and the important role it has in shaping kids future.

We continue to reinvest in to the Banker Jr./Member Jr. platform, based on the feedback of the wonderful families throughout the US using it, as well as our financial institution partners.

Here are a few of the exciting enhancements coming in the next 12 months!

Our families asked – we listened! Many families have kindle fire tablets and other solutions for their kids, and we are excited to now be able to reach this group.

Web based platform

We have heard from parents that they would like to be able to add chores and approve transactions during the day when they are at their computer. We have also had many schools ask us for a web platform, to make it easier to access without having to have multiple mobile devices for students. We are excited to announce that we have begun work on the web-based version of the app, and look forward to sharing more this later this year!

Lessons

Teaching through gamification is a lot of fun, and we have had many kids learn their coins, and other important money lessons, through Banker Jr’s game section. However, we want to make sure that the money concepts we are teaching are coming through, in addition to adding others. Therefore we will be launching a “Lessons” section.

In the Lessons section of the application, kids will be able to watch short, kid friendly videos teaching a variety of important money concepts. They will be encouraged to take a brief quiz to certify their knowledge, and to earn badges and other fun prizes.

Down the road, we will also add the Lessons section to the parent/teacher portal with resources and ideas of how they can support financial education.
